Silent Asylum throws you into an old, abandoned hospital that’s seen better days… way better days. The place is a mess of dusty hallways, flickering lights, and rooms that feel like they’ve been waiting years for someone to step inside again. You’re not here to sightsee, though, you’ve got one job: find the little yellow keys that unlock new parts of the building.

Getting around is simple enough. Use W-A-S-D or click to move, and swing your mouse to aim your gun. The tricky part is finding those keys. Your mission is clear but tricky. You need to find these little yellow things scattered throughout the huge, dark building, wherever they lead you next. Often, they’re tucked away inside secret panels or locked doors, hiding in plain sight, waiting for someone to notice their absence from a usual setting.

As time crawls forward, so does something else much bigger and scarier, keeping its distance, maybe just around the corner in total silence, following rules you can’t see but they feel like cold wind somewhere out there among those empty beds. If that feeling gets too strong, just listen very hard and run without stopping, trying not to trip or get stuck somewhere inconvenient, if it means your life. You need bullets eventually, though a gun helps cut down the waiting time significantly for things much too large anyway to shoot them when you see them moving through corridors slowly following people cautiously searching for keys, their little yellow targets, until freedom finally unlocks itself properly after finding enough clues.
