Zombie Outbreak is a game where you look down at your hero from above and guide them through a city full of zombies. You move with the keyboard and aim with the mouse or keys. When zombies walk toward you, you fire to push them back and create a safe path.

You pick up new weapons and health packs on the ground. A light gun shoots fast, a bigger one hits harder. Kids learn quickly which tools help in tight streets and which ones work better in open spots. Some games in this style also let you upgrade damage and speed between rounds, so each try feels a bit easier as you improve.

The maps feel like little mazes with corners to hide behind and cars to dodge around. Kids practice moving and aiming at the same time, which helps hand-eye coordination. The game does show zombies and shooting, so it suits older kids who are comfortable with action games, but the top-down view and simple art keep it from feeling too realistic.
